SILENT MBSR MINDFULNESS Retreat (CPD) Bringing Mindfulness into Work

    Bodhin Teaching Mindfulness

Mindful Academy  - Mindfulness MBSR Retreat, Spain

A 6 day Silent teacher lead Mindfulness MBSR Meditation Retreat from the 30th April - 6th May 2017 at Solterreno Retreat Center, Spain. This Retreat in English, will be lead by our very own senior MBSR/MBCT/Breathworks trainer Bodhin Woodward, with some invited guest practicioners.

CDP Theme: Bringing Mindfulness into Work

This CDP will have a special focus on bringing MBSR, and related mindfulness practices, into organizational settings. Mindfulness is being increasingly brought into corporations, government departments, educational institutions, citizen groups, as well as the military.  Research shows that mindful practices have a positive impact on concentration, focus, creativity, emotional intelligence, and productivity, which are essential to good leadership, and employee wellbeing. However, bringing mindfulness into organizations, adapting it to different institutional needs, and introducing formal and informal practices in the workplace can be challenging, and is even seen as controversial by some. This CDP will include 2 Master Classes, lead by experienced MBSR practitioners, to explore the opportunities and challenges of bringing mindfulness into the work place, and fostering peer-to-peer exchange and learning.

    These sessions include:

Mindful Work: covering topics such as organizational benefits; pitching mindfulness to organizations; delivering mindfulness programmes at work (formal and informal practices); skillful enquiry; dealing with difficulties, and challenging organizational cultures.

Mindful Leadership: covering topics such as relevance of mindfulness to leadership; cultivating inner leadership potential; role of emotions; seeing the bigger picture; compassion and kindness in the workplace; mindful practices for leaders.

Suitable for: Mindfulness teachers and those on a recognised training pathway, and anyone with an firmly established Mindfulness meditation practice.

    Dates and times:

    Sunday 30th April at 17.00h - Saturday 6th May 2017 at 10.00h

Price:- 650 € (Includes accommodation in shared rooms, all meals and activities).

During this Silent Retreat, we will be exploring and practicing the foundational teachings of Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction (MBSR) including Mindful Movement in a 6 night silent residential retreat format.

Retreat practice is a vital way to nourish our personal meditation practice, which is life enhancing for everyone, and particularly important for those who work with mindfulness-based interventions.

The Retreat is an opportunity to renew and deepen your practice of Mindfulness meditation and living fully in each moment in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The Retreat also meets the CPD requirements of the UK Best Practice for MBSR Teachers and is appropriate for anyone on the MBSR teacher training pathway, as well as active Mindfulness Teachers.
