Course fee: £125 per person

Course dates & times: Wednesday 1st, 8th, & 15th  July 2020,
9am to 11am UK time (10am to 12pm CET)

Location: Live Online via Zoom

Who is this for?

This Live-Online Workshop is for Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Teachers who as MINIMUM have completed a TT1 and TT2 MBSR Teacher Training pathway with a reputable training body.  It is also for more experienced teachers who have already taught MBSR courses in-person/offline and now wish to explore transitioning their teaching to the live online context.   For teachers who have already taught courses online, this presents an opportunity to deepen their online teaching skills.

What does the course contain?

This course offers a live, interactive and collaborative way of learning and developing the necessary skills to teach the 8-week MBSR course via videoconferencing.  You will receive guidance and explore ideas on how to maintain the essential teaching elements (contained in the 6 competency domains of the MBI:TAC)  in the live online teaching environment.

During the training, we will cover the 8 sessions of an MBSR course highlighting both the technical and the key teaching elements needed to successfully facilitate the MBSR course in the live online environment.  This will include considering the experiential exercises contained in the MBSR course and how these can best be facilitated with creativity and with adherence to the learning themes of the session in the online space.

We will be creating a safe space for you to practice how it feels to guide and be guided in a meditation online and experience the Inquiry process, both as a teacher and as a participant.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of the three modules, participants will:

1. Understand the technical requirements involved and have experience of teaching in Zoom in a safe supportive environment

2. Have a foundational understanding of best practices for teaching in a live online environment

3. Have direct experience of building and nurturing connection with participants online.

Overall feedback

Overall really positive experience, especially considering the initial hesitation about doing it online.

Online Silent Retreat May 2020

I am very grateful for having the opportunity to have attended the TT1 in March 2020 from Delhi (India) and even with the time difference (3.5 hours) the learnings and the week we spent altogether was amazing.

Bodhin and Sheena were spectaculars teachers leading us in all the material…

TT1 Online, March 2020

I attended the TT1 in March 2020, which was the first TT1 course online - due to the Coronavirus circumstances. I had my doubts about how we could lead the meditations online and be open within the group that I had not met in person before.

The course started and all my doubts…

Elise testimonial

Hear from Elise who has just finished the ONLINE version of the MBSR Teacher Training course, first level, TT1.

The excellent initial teacher training that I received at Solterreno in 2014 allowed me to take my first steps on my teaching pathway. The certificate, proof on paper that I could deliver the MBSR curriculum and be a "good enough" teacher.

for me, this TT3 step came at just the right time.

Since training at Solterreno I have begun teaching the MBSR course in my local area and I have been accepted onto the UK Network for Mindfulness-Based Teacher Training Organisations. This shows that my training at Solterreno and ongoing supervision meets the UK Good Practice Guidelines for…
