We are proud to announce that Mindful Academy Solterreno has partnered with Mindup Meditation Center and started the very first MBSR 8-week courses and teacher training pathway in Russia.
Mindfulness and awareness practises have gained more popularity in Russia in recent years but the world-renowned Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction programme has not been available to Russian people locally. Irina Jugai, the founder of MindUp Meditation Center, based in Moscow herself, saw the growing interest towards the MBSR program and wanted to find a partner to launch it in Russia.
MindUp Meditation Center was founded by Irina Jugai in 2017 in Moscow, Russia.
In 2018, the centre started collaborating with Zhassulan Abishev and Tuire Schoonen - graduates from Mindful Academy Solterreno and experienced MBSR teacher trainers.
In 2020, the first qualified mindfulness teachers in Russia graduate from the MBSR program by MindUp Meditation Center and Mindful Academy Solterreno. They complete a full MBSR program of two modules, a mindfulness retreat, an essay and running their first 8-week mindfulness course under supervision.
The program is translated into Russian providing a full variety of materials to students in their native language.

Our main mission is to educate and unite our former CIS countries graduates into one association as qualified MBSR teachers for them to work towards popularizing and bringing mindfulness into various areas of society.
