Zhassulan “Jazz” Abishev is a Certified MBSR Teacher, Senior Trainer, and Mindfulness Supervisor at Mindful Academy Solterreno (Spain). He is also a senior lecturer at Satbayev University and a doctoral researcher at Eurasian National University (Kazakhstan), where his work focuses on the impact of MBSR on stress and depression among youth under 45.
Jazz is the Founder of Mindful Academy Project (Kazakhstan), which develops mindfulness-based education and interventions across different areas of life. With a Master’s degree in Pedagogy and Psychology, he combines scientific research with a holistic, integral approach to personal and professional development.
Over the past decade, Jazz has facilitated 100+ 8-week MBSR programs, trained over 170 mindfulness teachers, and guided 4000+ students worldwide through courses, retreats, and lectures. His journey includes extensive research and fieldwork across Asia—studying Buddhism, Taoism, and Hinduism in Myanmar, Japan, South Korea, Nepal, India, and beyond.
By bridging Eastern wisdom and Western science, Jazz brings mindfulness into education, corporate life, and society with a clear, secular, and human-centered approach.
