
Terms and Conditions for Training Courses, CPD Courses, Retreats and Live Online MBSR Courses
- Currency of Payment
All payments must be made in Euros (€). - Provisional Reservations
Upon acceptance onto an Online Course, Residential Teacher Training Course, CPD Course or Retreat, a provisional place will be held for a maximum of seven (7) calendar days pending receipt of the required deposit payment. - Deposit Requirements
a. A non-refundable and non-transferable deposit of 550€ is required to secure a place on all Residential Teacher Training Courses, CPD Courses and Retreats.
b. For Silent Retreats, a non-refundable and non-transferable deposit of 200€ is required.
c. Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable under all circumstances, including cancellations relating to travel disruption, personal circumstances, illness, visa issues, or changes to accommodation preferences. - Balance Payments
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the remaining balance for Residential Teacher Training Courses, CPD Courses and Retreats must be paid no later than fifty-six (56) days prior to the commencement date of the course or retreat.
Failure to make payment within this timeframe may result in cancellation of the participant’s place without refund of the deposit. - Cancellation by Participant (Residential Courses and Retreats)
a. Where a participant cancels within fifty-six (56) days of the commencement date, no refund of the balance payment will be issued.
b. Refunds may only be considered if a replacement participant is secured from a waiting list and the booking can be successfully transferred.
c. Deposit payments remain strictly non-refundable and non-transferable in all circumstances.
d. Accommodation, venue and catering costs already committed on behalf of participants are included within these cancellation conditions. - Withdrawal After Commencement
If a participant withdraws, leaves early, or is unable to complete a Teacher Training Course, CPD Course or Retreat after commencement, no refund of fees or payments will be provided, including accommodation, meals or unused residential services. - Teacher Training Modules
Teacher Training modules must be completed sequentially and in numerical order unless prior written authorisation has been granted. - Code of Conduct
All participants are required to read, sign and comply with the applicable Code of Conduct as a condition of participation in any course, retreat or training programme. - Recognition of Qualifications
It is solely the participant’s responsibility to verify whether qualifications or certifications awarded are recognised or accepted within the country or jurisdiction in which they intend to practise or work. - Right to Amend Prices
Prices for courses, retreats, accommodation and related services may be amended without prior notice. - Certification Requirements
In order to receive a Mindfulness Meditation MBSR Teacher Training Certificate, participants must:
a. Complete the full training programme;
b. Complete all required pre-course work;
c. Meet the professional standards outlined in the Mindfulness-Based Interventions: Teaching Assessment Criteria (MBI-TAC).
Upon successful completion, graduates may apply independently and at their own expense for registration with Yoga Alliance Professionals, where applicable. - Substance Policy
A strict no-drugs policy applies to all courses and retreats. Any participant found to be in breach of this policy may be asked to leave immediately without refund. - Additional Services and Charges
Any additional services or personal expenses incurred during a stay, including but not limited to massages, private treatments, transport services or additional accommodation nights, must be paid in full prior to departure. - Application and Health Disclosure
All participants attending Residential Teacher Training Courses, CPD Courses, Retreats or 1-to-1 Distance Learning Courses are required to complete a Student Application Form prior to booking.
This form must include accurate information relating to prior experience, qualifications, certifications and any relevant physical or mental health considerations. - Consent to Share Contact Information
By accepting these Terms and Conditions, participants consent to their contact information, including name, email address and telephone number, being shared with the teaching team and fellow participants for purposes directly related to the course or retreat. - Force Majeure
No liability shall be accepted for cancellations, delays, alterations or inability to deliver services resulting from events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:
war, threat of war, terrorism, airport closures, pandemics (including COVID-19), Brexit-related disruption, civil unrest, strikes, industrial action, governmental restrictions, natural disasters or other unforeseen events. - Live Online 8-Week MBSR Courses
a. Full payment is required upon acceptance onto the course and confirmation of dates and times.
b. Participants may withdraw up to eight (8) weeks prior to the course commencement date and receive a refund minus a 25% administrative fee.
c. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made within eight (8) weeks of the commencement date.
d. Course session dates and times are fixed and cannot be rescheduled. - Limitation of Liability
No responsibility or liability shall be accepted for:
a. Medical or psychological conditions arising during or after participation;
b. Loss, theft or damage to personal belongings;
c. Travel disruption or accommodation costs incurred outside the booking agreement;
d. Any personal injury, loss or damage except where required by law. - Participant Responsibility and Right to Refuse Participation
a. Participants are expected to behave respectfully towards teachers, staff, other participants and the retreat environment at all times.
b. The organisation reserves the right to refuse admission or request that a participant leave a course or retreat where behaviour is considered unsafe, disruptive, abusive, discriminatory, aggressive, inappropriate, or detrimental to the wellbeing of the group.
c. In such circumstances, no refund will be issued for training fees, accommodation, meals or any unused portion of the retreat or course. - Cancellation by the Organisation
In the unlikely event that a course or retreat is cancelled by the organisation, all monies paid, including deposits, will be refunded in full.
This provision does not apply in circumstances covered under Clause 16 (Force Majeure). - Teacher Substitution
Where a scheduled teacher becomes unavailable, every reasonable effort will be made to appoint a replacement teacher of comparable professional experience and qualification. - Insurance Requirements
All participants attending Residential Teacher Training Courses, CPD Courses and Retreats are required to obtain and maintain comprehensive travel, medical and cancellation insurance prior to travel and participation. - Photography and Media Consent
a. Photographs and media recordings taken during courses, trainings and retreats may be used for educational, promotional and marketing purposes.
b. Participants who do not wish to appear in photographs or recordings must notify the organisation in writing prior to the commencement of the event. - Use of Participant Feedback
Feedback submitted via email, evaluation forms or questionnaires may be used for promotional purposes on websites, social media platforms and other marketing materials.
Participants who do not consent to such use must notify the organisation in writing. - Acceptance of Terms and Conditions
By booking and/or making payment towards any Residential Teacher Training Course, CPD Course, Retreat or Live Online MBSR Course, the participant confirms that they have read, understood and agreed to these Terms and Conditions in full.
