Fernando Balsera
Mindful Academy Solterreno TT1 trainee Mindfulness Teacher
Fernando Balsera was born in Madrid where he started his dance training and also graduated from Environmental Engineering at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.
He finished his dance education with a Postgraduate in Contemporary Dance at The Place, London. After graduated he has worked for MotionHouse Dance Theater in the UK and Gabriella Maiorino, Lilach Livne and Simone Sandroni in Amsterdam and Munich.
Since 2011 Fernando lives in Berlin and has worked for Toula Limnaios and Shangchi Sun as a dancer and as assistant director for Constanza Macrass Dorky Park.
From 2012 until 2015 Fernando was part of the ensemble Wee Dance Company- Gerhart Hauptmann Theater Görlitz where he has worked as a dancer, choreographer and teacher. Currently he works as a freelance dancer and has work for Hagit Yakira Dance (London, Uk), Shangchi Sun (Berlin, Taiwan), PlanMee (Nürnberg, Germany), Ruben Reniers (Berlin, Germany), Junk Ensemble (Ireland), Meg-Stuart (Berlin, Germany) and Ivo Dimchev (Berlin, Germany).
As a facilitator, Fernando teaches regular training in several dance companies: Pforheim StadtTheater, Landesbühne-Sachsen, Tanz-Art, Wee Dance Company-Gerhart Hauptman Theater, Tanzfabrik.
After graduating with an MBA in 2016 he works as assistant Director for Jorge Crecis and as a facilitator for OWL Training (www.owltraining.co.uk).
