Isabel Scott Evans
Hello, my name is Isabel,
I’m from Glastonbury, Somerset Uk and now live in a small village just outside Bath; which is where for the last 7 years I have worked within the yoga and retreat world. I previously ran a yoga studio as well as organised and hosted yoga and meditation retreats, some of which were as small as 8 or as large as 80 people. After many years of ruminating, it suddenly felt like the perfect time for me to take the plunge and become a yoga teacher. I studied and qualified in July 2020 as a Hatha & Yin Yoga teacher, accredited by Yoga Alliance Professionals.
This soon led me to study the MBSR course in the summer of 2020, and so my new path of yoga and mindfulness was set. I trained to teach the core mindfulness practices at The Mindful Academy Solterreno, in December 2020. A wonderful experience. The most enlightening aspect that I learnt during the training was how to properly and actively listen to what someone is telling you. This impacted me because I think that if you feel listened to, you feel loved. I will go on to study the TT2 in 2021.
I’m currently teaching yoga three days a week and organising meditation workshops and classes. I’m very passionate about self-healing, self-care, breathing, being mindful and getting to know your body in a kind way.
I find my teaching incredibly rewarding and making a difference to others has always been important to me. Sharing the gift of mindfulness is going to complete my offering to help others.
