Isabel Scott Evans

Hello, my name is Isabel,

I’m from Glastonbury, Somerset Uk and now live in a small village just outside Bath; which is where for the last 7 years I have worked within the yoga and retreat world. I previously ran a yoga studio as well as organised and hosted yoga and meditation retreats, some of which were as small as 8 or as large as 80 people. After many years of ruminating, it suddenly felt like the perfect time for me to take the plunge and become a yoga teacher. I studied and qualified in July 2020 as a Hatha & Yin Yoga teacher, accredited by Yoga Alliance Professionals.

This soon led me to study the MBSR course in the summer of 2020, and so my new path of yoga and mindfulness was set. I trained to teach the core mindfulness practices at The Mindful Academy Solterreno, in December 2020. A wonderful experience. The most enlightening aspect that I learnt during the training was how to properly and actively listen to what someone is telling you. This impacted me because I think that if you feel listened to, you feel loved. I will go on to study the TT2 in 2021.

I’m currently teaching yoga three days a week and organising meditation workshops and classes. I’m very passionate about self-healing, self-care, breathing, being mindful and getting to know your body in a kind way.

I find my teaching incredibly rewarding and making a difference to others has always been important to me. Sharing the gift of mindfulness is going to complete my offering to help others.

Testimonial As a very reflective person who likes to be in silent observation of the world, I must say that by the end of this retreat I have got to know a different silence - turning inward and actively listening to the reactions of my body, accompanied by thoughts and emotions…

TT3, June 2022

I loved how the course was structured. I took TT1 in the intense format of 1 week and TT2 was instead spread over 2 months. I really enjoyed both formats and I felt that TT2 was ideal in this format, because I really had the time to absorb what I learnt in each session and had time to prepare.…

TT2 Online, Oct 2021

Fantastic course. The structure of each day was fantastic. The days were long but every activity or teaching session felt like it was not rushed, there was spaciousness and yet things didn't often overrun or feel crammed in. Perfect balance. The teachers were absolutely wonderful, grounding,…

I have loved the course. Very intense in a way, but the safe environment and the sense of community that is created around my colleagues and the trainers is incredible and made me change the perspective of being. It brought me to an incredible space of love and kindness. I…
